World of Santa - Norwegian

Item #14005
Introduced: 2004

Retired
Price: $22.50
Description:

Santa’s skis represent the rich history of Norway and the sport of skiing. Norway is where it all started, being host to the Winter Olympic Games twice, the first time in 1952 when Oslo and the immediate surroundings was the host city, and then in 1994 in Lillehammer. Modern skiing was invented by the Norwegians in a small village called Morgedal by Sondre Nordheim. Most Norwegians are of pure Viking stock, and like their ancestors love adventures, exploring, sports and competition.
